These are not four separate offers sold in parallel. Diagnostics on the installed base tell us what actually breaks in Sahelian conditions. That evidence writes the training curriculum. Trained technicians make hybrid installation and mini-grid operation possible at scale. We build downward before we build upward.

Asset audit, rehabilitation & O&M

Recovering value from what is already installed

Solar systems across Chad underperform within months of commissioning. Dust deposition alone can remove up to 30% of output where no cleaning regime exists. Most installations have no performance baseline, no maintenance budget, and no owner of record for faults — so degradation goes unmeasured until the system stops entirely.

We inspect the installed base, establish what is recoverable, cost the rehabilitation, and then hold the asset under contract with a guaranteed availability figure. This is the fastest route to restoring generation that has already been paid for.

Technical capacity building

A workforce certified against real failure data

Chad does not lack solar hardware. It lacks the people to commission, diagnose and maintain it. Systems fail for want of a technician who can read an inverter fault code — not for want of a better module. And generic installer training does not prepare anyone to work inside an oilfield permit-to-work regime.
We run certified technician training in N’Djamena, delivered in French, built directly from the failure taxonomy our audits produce. Graduates enter our own delivery roster, client O&M teams, and the wider contractor market — with the safety qualifications that industrial and extractives sites require.

C&I and extractives hybrid systems​

Displacing diesel where the load is largest

Industrial, commercial and extractives operators in Chad carry some of the highest self-generation costs in the region. Fuel is trucked long distances, gensets run continuously, and the cost sits directly in the cost of goods. For extractives sites, the same fuel now also carries a Scope 1 reporting burden.

We design and install grid-tied and off-grid hybrid solar-diesel systems that displace 60–80% of fuel consumption, engineered for ambient temperatures above 45°C and high-soiling Sahelian conditions. We handle the permitting alongside the engineering.

Mini-grid development & EPC​

Electrifying secondary cities and processing hubs

National electrification stands near 12%, with rural access in low single digits. Chad’s access programme designates off-grid delivery to private operators, and results-based financing is available — but the constraint is not funding. It is the shortage of operators who can survey demand, build to standard, collect reliably, and keep the system running past year three.
We develop and deliver solar mini-grids in secondary cities, corridor towns and agricultural processing hubs — from demand assessment through construction to long-term operation, structured around the financing instruments already committed to the sector.

Audit findings become the sales conversation. Every site we inspect has a measured fuel baseline and a quantified loss — which is the strongest possible basis for a hybrid proposal. Activates on the first signed O&M contracts and a completed extractives site audit.

Chad is served from the coast, and we are already on it.​

Every module, inverter and battery entering Chad arrives overland from Douala. That corridor runs 1,800km inside the CEMAC customs union, with rail as far as Ngaoundéré, and it is the single largest source of cost and delay in any Chadian project.

ResourcePrime holds a Central African entity in Cameroon, operates under the same OHADA legal framework in both countries, and transacts in a single currency across the corridor — no conversion, no cross-border FX exposure, no customs union boundary. We hold technical capability and inventory at the coastal end and deploy inland.

Chad is not a new market for us. It is the far end of a corridor we already operate on.
